On the 31st of March 2012 Insaf Malaysia turned 3!
And a lot has been achieved in the last year alone. On the 8th of June 2011 Insaf Malaysia was accepted in the Registrar of Societies and given full NGO status.
Our organization has also started working in partnership with Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, and various private agencies and NGOs. Together we aim to continue our work by giving aid, be it technical or medical, to anyone in need; Orang Asli, orphans, the poor, the old and all those afflicted by poverty, neglect, disasters and calamities.
In order to fine tune our operation both nationally and internationally, four Clusters, namely Medical, Shelter, Food Program and Clean Water/Sanitation were formally introduced. Each of these clusters will play an important role in our future Welfare and Disaster responses and I’m certain they will help in clarifying and simplifying the task of the various members and volunteers.
The committee and I have worked very hard and one quick glance at our website / blogspot will tell you all the activities and various programs we organized both in Malaysia and internationally in 2011/2012. Volunteers are also at the core of our programs and activities, therefore it’s nice to notice that the number has increased and we have now reached, 407.
Before I conclude I would like to thank all the volunteers, the committee members and of course all those who have contributed with funds and donation. Without your help none of this would have been possible!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
